It's also prone to become stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a good value, especially if your home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it, the mopping pad can be changed for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package.
