If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't create as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot cleaner vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum and mop vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with a microfiber pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to determine a route when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture the majority of hair that our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finishing its work.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuums best is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot vacuum cleaner reviews or use the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
