The Best Double Buggy Strollers
If you're expecting twins or have two children of different age groups, a double buggy will help you get out and out and. The best ones are easy to manoeuvre and handle rough surfaces and kerbs.
They also have features like large sun canopy with hoods that can be seen through and seats that are adjustable.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed to travel and easily fits through most doors with its narrow design. It's also one of the most lightweight double buggies that are available, weighing only 14lb when folded. It's perfect for traveling with a toddler and a newborn as you won’t exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds to the size of a bag for travel and can be tucked away in the back of your car when not being used.
The one-handed, Z-shape fold is easy to fold and is extremely compact once you get the hang of it and takes minutes to fold. Our test subject found the auto-lock a little difficult to understand, and also because the handlebar doesn't lock into the position you push it into, it hit her leg when she was using it. She also felt the handlebar was a little too short, especially with a big changing bag hanging off of it.
This double stroller isn't as light as other buggies. It comes with a wide array of features and is one the most versatile double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) and offers multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet on either or both seats to create a travel system.
The four rubber composite tires are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they were not made for off-roading. They had trouble with gravel and long grass and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and the wheel which meant that mud could get stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy, and it was able to climb pretty hillocks that were muddy.

This 2021 update includes a couple of improvements, including better manoeuvrability, a larger shopping basket, and a revamped bumper bar with leatherette cover. The seats have a moulded feel and are extremely comfortable. They're also adjustable, so they can be placed to meet siblings' needs. iCandy have created the first ever "cinema" seating system that allows parents to keep eye contact with their children. They can be adjusted so that they face either the parent or the world.
It's a heavier tandem buggie but it's easy to use and drive, especially on smooth pavements. It's stable in single and double mode, and also on sloped ground. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand to grip the handlebar. It's also a bit heavy and will not fit in the standard car boot for families with the seat attached however this can be overcome with some careful planning. iCandy has included an infant footmuff and a changing bag included in the cost, so it's an excellent value package for new parents.

Its sleek frame and compact dimensions make it ideal for shopping malls and narrow city streets. The swivel wheels on the front and four-wheel suspension enable it to navigate uneven or rough terrain.

It comes with a one-click secure fold and is compatible a wide range Joie infant car seat. It also has a spacious basket and comfortable seats for both children. double pushchair with the addition of a CLOUD Z iSize car seat, a second seat unit, or Gazelle Cot. The new harness with one-pull makes securing your child an easy and simple process - ideal when you're carrying the baby on your back!

The durable pneumatic tyres, which are easy to clean, give a smooth ride while jogging. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked to help you maneuver around the town. Our testers found the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when taking on uneven ground or turning fast in an area with a lot of traffic. The possibility that the seats could be reclined independently was also hugely appreciated.
They also loved that the hoods could be moved forward and back, which made them easier to adjust in the sun or for wind protection. They didn't provide the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's worth having an extra rain cover in case.

Overall, our testers loved the way that Nipper Double let them to take their twin girls Sydney and Lyla on a variety of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to rush to the park for a playdate. They were also amazed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for toddlers to sprawl out in. The lack of parent-facing seating and the inability to use a car seat on this buggy were both noted as a disadvantage by our test participants. They would also have wanted a bigger storage space for shopping and other gear.
