The
Best Robot Vacuum That MopsNoah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the
best robot vacuum navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.
It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like broken toys and books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of
robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.
This device is expensive but has many smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect a lot of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was beginning and getting its work done.
The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent
robot vacuums with mop that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base comes with a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
