It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and is effective, but this is something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
